You can go elite if you want and get even better but at tier 5 they are as good or better than most other tier 6 archers.

You can upgrade them if you want but this is a staple of my army. Great archers, great blunt infantry, great cavalry I'd say the Stormlands has the most balanced troops all around, but don't exactly stand out in other areas like the other factions, besides focusing on blunt weapons.
Oh and out of the original Westeros factions. If you get Daenerys into the game, her crownlands troops are great all around. Sand cavalry are fun to use but requires more tactics, and dragonstone knights are lighter but hit hard and fast. For infantry - Dornish Heavy Spearmen, sand warriors, northern spearmen, northern houseguards, ironborn marauders, finger dancers, and of course unsullied, who don't require any wages.
